Overview

Awana Scholarship College and University Network

Overview: A scholarship program that connects Awana students with participating colleges and universities that reward students with financial scholarships based on their achievement levels within the Awana curriculum.

Purpose: Recognizing the high caliber of students that emerge from Awana Youth Ministries, participating schools provide scholarships for students who have reached various levels of achievement (Citation Award and Meritorious Award levels) within the Awana® curriculum.

Eligibility:

  • Students who have achieved Citation Award or Meritorious Award status in Awana curriculum

  • Students planning to attend participating colleges or universities
  • Award Amounts by Institution:

  • Appalachian Bible College (Mount Hope, WV): Citation = $3,000; Meritorious = $2,000

  • Baptist College of Florida (Graceville, FL): Citation = $4,000

  • Bob Jones University (Greenville, SC): Citation = $1,000 one-time award ($500 per semester, first year only)

  • Boston Baptist College (Boston, MA): Citation = $6,000 plus spring break study abroad trip; Meritorious = $3,000 plus spring break study abroad trip

  • Brookes Bible Institute (St. Louis, MO): Citation = $450/year; Meritorious = $300/year

  • Cairn University (Langhorne, PA): Citation = $7,500 ($1,500/year for 5 years); Meritorious = $5,000 ($1,000/year for 5 years)

  • Calvary Bible College and Seminary (Kansas City, MO): Citation = $2,000

  • Carolina University (Winston-Salem, NC): Citation = $1,000; Meritorious = $500; Timothy = $500
  • Geographic Scope: United States (multiple states represented by participating institutions)

    Application Process

    1. Citation Award Certification: Students must complete the Citation Award Certification Form to ensure Citation Achievers receive full recognition in an accurate and timely manner

    2. Verification: Submit verification from Awana Headquarters to the college or university you plan to attend

    3. Download Required Materials: Download the Citation Certification Form from the Awana Scholarships page
