Program Description: The Smart Home Program delivers specially adapted, mortgage-free homes to catastrophically injured veterans. These smart homes feature advanced technology and accessibility modifications to help injured service members maintain independence in their daily lives.

Homes with smart home technology (remote-controlled lighting, temperature, security systems)

Wheelchair-accessible design with wide doorways

Remotely operated front doors

Accessible kitchen with pull-down shelving and lift-adjustable stove

Spacious bathrooms for maximum autonomy

Locations selected based on veteran's preferences and needs

Status: Active and expanding. As of the latest report, the Foundation has delivered, started construction on, or is in the design stage of 75 smart homes.
