Program Description: The Gold Star Family Home Program provides mortgage-free homes to military families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The program addresses the housing instability military families face after a service member's death.

Problem Addressed:

Military families are given only one year of on-base housing after a service member's death

Those not on base receive modest temporary housing assistance

Grieving families must relocate, disrupting children's schools and routines

Families face overwhelming financial burden during loss

10 Gold Star widows have already received homes at program launch

Military spouses (widows) whose service member spouse was killed in service
