Overview

The Skutch Research Grants provide funding for researchers based in Latin America, replacing the previous Bergstrom Grant. This initiative, supported by Dr. Alexander Skutch's bequest, aims to promote research on Neotropical ornithology. Annually, up to five grants of $1500 USD each are awarded for projects that enhance knowledge of birds' natural history, ecology, and conservation across Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.

Purpose
Skutch Research Grants are intended to promote question-driven research and other projects that add to our knowledge of the natural history, ecology, and/or conservation of birds that are living under natural conditions in Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
