The equal-opportunity process accepts a variety of funding requests ranging from basic human needs, arts & culture, youth development & education, animal welfare, and more.
Funding
While SCF does not have set minimums and maximums, grant awards have ranged from $500 - $35,000, but the average grant is typically between $7,000 - $12,000.

Eligibility

SCF only supports grant requests that serve Skagit County. Organizations based outside the Skagit region can apply for a grant as long as the work described in the grant application is clearly carried out in the Skagit community (e.g. an organization with headquarters in Bellingham but conducts programs in Skagit).If a request is $20,000+, most recently audited, reviewed, or compiled financials are requiredOrganizations can apply for up to two requests per Annual Grant Cycle, if the purpose for each is different.

Ineligibility

The following are excluded:

• Organizations or groups without non profit statusRequests or organizations that do not serve Skagit CountyRe-granting organizations
• Partisan political activities
• Organizations that discriminate with regard to age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin, religious affiliation, or a presence of a disability
