SIPES Foundation: Earth Science Scholarship Program Grant

The SIPES Foundation's Earth Science Scholarship Program supports U.S. citizens enrolled as upper-division or graduate students in Earth Science or related fields. Established in 1981, it has awarded scholarships to over 200 students, promoting excellence in earth science education. Funded by the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists, this program aims to encourage aspiring geologists and engineers to excel academically and contribute to domestic energy exploration.

The Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists Foundation (SIPES) was established in 1981 to perform the charitable, educational and scientific purposes of the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists. The SIPES Foundation has carried out these activities through many programs including seminars, an earth science film library, publications for the National Park Service, and annual scholarship awards.
The SIPES Foundation has awarded scholarships to more than 200 outstanding earth science and engineering students since it was founded in 1981. SIPES is a national organization of more than 1200 self-employed geologists, geophysicists and engineers engaged primarily in domestic energy exploration and development.

Eligibility

Any U.S. Citizen currently enrolled as an Upper-Division or Graduate Student, whose major is in any field of Earth Science, Petroleum or Geological Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or better, is eligible for application.
