Overview
The Simons HBCU Faculty Fellowship supports junior tenure-track faculty at HBCUs in mathematics, neuroscience, physics, and ecology and evolutionary biology by buying out at least 50 percent of their teaching for one to five years. Each selected institution receives up to $320,000 a year for five years ($1.6 million total) and may nominate up to four faculty; up to five institutions will be funded.
Letters of intent are due November 12, 2026 at 12 p.m. ET. Invited institutions submit a full application by February 9, 2027.
