Siemens: Educational Grants

Siemens Healthineers offers educational grants aimed at enhancing professional education in the healthcare sector. These grants support various clinical, technical, and scientific education programs, including medical imaging and laboratory diagnostics. The funding is intended for events that promote best practices and clinical demonstrations, providing healthcare professionals with the necessary tools to improve patient care outcomes. Applications must be submitted at least 45 days prior to the event, ensuring adequate time for review and approval.

Siemens Healthineers provides unrestricted grants to support continuing professional education, best practice sharing, and/or clinical demonstration via educational conferences, seminars, meetings, other live events, and presentations in other formats such as Internet-based presentations and publications.
Support for clinical, technical, and scientific education programs focused in the areas of:

• Medical ImagingLaboratory DiagnosticsClinical IT, including Computer-Aided Diagnosis and Clinical Decision Support

Siemens Healthineers provides unrestricted grants to support continuing professional education, best practice sharing, and/or clinical demonstration via educational conferences, seminars, meetings, other live events, and presentations in other formats such as Internet-based presentations and publications.
While Siemens Healthineers does not control the content of such accredited educational sessions, the selection of attendees, or the use of financial support, we contribute funding to programs that educate on topics aligning to our portfolio and approved clinical applications of technology. In-person forums must be predominantly educational (vs. recreational) in nature, held at an appropriate business venue, offered by recognized clinical experts, and ultimately designed to support the advancement of patient care. In exercising proper professional discretion and awareness of industry organization (e.g., AdvaMed, PhRMA) Codes of Conduct, Siemens Healthineers encourages event organizers to avoid resort locations and recreational opportunities.

Eligibility

Qualified educational grant requests for R&D, clinical, technical, and scientific programs, such as funding of educational conferences and seminars.For educational grants, Siemens Healthineers is currently supporting clinical or scientific programs focused in the areas of:Medical ImagingLaboratory Diagnostics
Clinical IT, including Computer-Aided Diagnosis and Clinical Decision SupportEducational Grants in support of clinical or scientific programs must be held at modest venues conducive to education. Materials promoting the program must clearly highlight educational value. The agenda must be robust and provide sophisticated education by known experts. We typically require that the agenda include at least 7 hours/day of mandatory sessions.The beneficiary/requesting organization must be a U.S. organization.Any given event must also be funded by other organizations as well.When appropriate, Siemens Healthineers sponsors a beneficiary organization directly.Local chapters of national non-profits: please contact your national team to identify and submit an annual request to Siemens Healthineers. We are unfortunately unable, in most circumstances, to entertain separate requests from local entities.Educational Grants and Sponsorships are evaluated independent of each other, and may be awarded separately. If both are being offered, please submit separate requests.

Ineligibility

In exercising proper professional discretion and awareness of industry organization (e.g., AdvaMed, PhRMA) Codes of Conduct, Siemens Healthineers encourages event organizers to avoid resort locations and recreational opportunities.We cannot be sole supporter.Siemens Healthineers will not fund programs/activities after the start date has passed.Direct-to-beneficiary: Siemens Healthineers does not sponsor third-parties to support donation efforts (e.g., Siemens Healthineers will not contribute to a hospital's fundraiser to benefit a charitable organization).Siemens Healthineers employees may not submit a request on behalf of an organization.The request does not fund the following:

• Construction or capital improvements
• Endowments, general operations costs, salaries of employees, etc.
• International programs, even if the charity is a U.S. organization
• Individuals
• Religious or political initiatives
