Overview

The Sexual Assault Services Formula Grant Program (SASP) is the first federal funding stream solely dedicated to the provision of direct intervention and related assistance for victims of sexual assault. SASP directs grant dollars to states and territories to support rape crisis centers and other nonprofit, nongovernmental organizations or tribal programs that provide services, direct intervention, and related assistance to victims of sexual assault.

Eligible Services:

  • Intervention, advocacy, and accompaniment

  • Support services and related assistance

  • Services for adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault

  • Services for family and household members of victims

  • Services for those collaterally affected by sexual assault
  • Funds are designed to supplement other funding sources addressing sexual assault.
