Senior Saves Heating Assistance Program

Award Details
- Be age 60 or older
- Be a homeowner and primary resident of the property (1-4 unit homes)
- Live in Boston in one of the eligible neighborhoods
- Be current on property tax payments
- Be current on Boston Water and Sewer Commission payments
- Have household income ≤ 80% of Area Median Income (AMI)
- For multifamily properties: at least 50% of residents must have low or moderate incomes
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:- Reimbursements for already-completed heating system replacements
- Properties not meeting income requirements
- Homeowners with delinquent taxes or water/sewer payments

How to Apply
1. Determine Eligibility: Verify you meet all eligibility requirements (age 60+, homeowner, resident, income within 80% AMI, current on taxes and water/sewer payments)

3. Home Assessment: NOAH will conduct a free in-home evaluation of your heating system to determine:
- Your eligibility for the program
- What repairs or replacements may be needed
4. Submit Application: Complete the formal application process with NOAH
- Income documentation required (to verify ≤80% AMI)
- Property tax and water/sewer payment verification
- Proof of residency
5. Contractor Selection: NOAH will arrange work through licensed, insured, and approved contractors
6. Program Completion: Receive assistance as grant and/or 0% interest deferred loan
