Overview: A nutrition incentive match program that supplements the federal Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). Provides coupons to eligible seniors to purchase fresh produce at participating farmers markets.

Program Period: June through December annually

Eligible Participants:

Seniors age 60 and older

Must first receive SFMNP vouchers from their state agency

Residents of Kansas and Missouri

Geographic Scope: 11 farmers markets across Kansas City metro area

How It Works:

Seniors receive SFMNP vouchers from their state agency

Seniors pick up Cultivate KC's Senior Market Match coupons at participating farmers markets

Coupons can be redeemed for fresh produce from any participating vendor at the market

Recent Impact: Over $10,500 worth of coupons redeemed in prior year

Participating Farmers Markets Include:

Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers' Market (added 2023)
