  • Program Description:
    This innovative year-long pilot project supports homeless families as they transition from shelters into their own homes. The program works with clients referred by New York City's Human Resources Administration (HRA) participating in the Living in Communities (LINC) rent subsidy program. Seedco helps LINC households (with at least one employed adult working 35+ hours/week for 90+ days) retain employment, advance to higher-paying jobs, develop financial plans, enroll in benefits, and achieve financial goals.

    Target Population:

  • Initial cohort: 40 households

  • Goal if additional funding raised: 150 LINC households
  • Related Program: Builds upon Seedco's Career Advancement and Retention (CAR) program, also funded by NYCT
