NOTE: The Scrap Tire Management Grant Program is administered through the Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grants. Scrap Tire applications: Only one project per application is allowed. Scrap Tire Management Grant Programs The Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grants Fund provides grants to assist in financing scrap tire programs and projects. These include, but are not limited to: Partial payment for purchase of tire-derived products and/or crumb rubberLoose crumb rubber for manufacturing or playgroundsLoose crumb rubber used as a soil amendment to prevent grass wearMulch products made from crumb rubberPlayground or walkway mats made from crumb rubberPoured-in-place playground surfacesAthletic track surfaces made from crumb rubberArtificial football or soccer fields made from crumb rubberCollection site cleanups for political subdivisions, such as scrap tire amnesty day cleanups.Capital and startup costs for processing, manufacturing, collecting, and transporting.Examples:Equipment used to shred, grind, and process scrap tires into crumb rubberEquipment to produce rubber-modified asphaltEquipment to collect and haul scrap tiresCost sharing for manufacturing, processing and civil engineering applications.Eligibility
