Scientific Achievement Award in Drug Discovery and Development

The Scientific Achievement Award in Drug Discovery and Development recognizes outstanding investigators that have made significant contributions in drug discovery, translational and/or drug development science. This can include investigators who have developed technologies, methods or processes that have enhanced the process of drug discovery or enabled accelerated drug development. Contributions to any therapeutic area or therapeutic modality (small molecule, oligonucleotide, gene therapy, biologic or drug-device combination) will be considered.

The award consists of:

* Invitation to deliver a symposium talk at a Drug Discovery and Development programming event during the ASPET Annual Meeting.
* Reimbursement of up to $1,000 in travel expenses to the ASPET Annual Meeting.
* Complimentary registration to the ASPET Annual Meeting.
* A plaque commemorating awardee’s scientific accomplishments in the field.

* The primary nominator must be an ASPET member in good standing.
* The candidate must be an ASPET member in good standing.
* Candidates are welcome from academia, industry, government, or other organizational affiliations.

Ineligibility

* No candidate may receive more than one ASPET award in any given year.
* The current division chair and secretary/treasurer and the ASPET Council president and secretary/treasurer are ineligible for division awards during their active tenure.
