School Group Blood Drive Fundraiser

Designed for student-based school groups to host blood drives and earn money to support group events, fees, and expenses.

Geographic Scope: Washington and Oregon (Western Washington & Oregon region)

Focus Areas:

• Blood donor recruitment
• Student organization fundraising
• Community service

Eligibility:

• High school or college student organizations
• Must be administration-approved and institutionally recognized
• Must consist of four or more people
• Must be student-based and/or student-focused
• Tied to a department on campus (or equivalent structure)

Award Details:

• Funds earned can be used for:
  • Group events
  • Membership fees
  • Group expenses

Availability: Year-round

Application Process

1. Submit an interest form at bloodworksnw.org (specific form for scholarships + fundraisers)
2. Confirm group status:
   • Administration approval of blood drive activity
   • Institutional recognition of group
   • Minimum 4 student members
   • Student-based/focused organizational structure
3. Contact community engagement liaison to schedule coordination meeting
4. Plan and host blood drive (can be off-campus community drive or donor center takeover)
5. Recruit donors during drive period
6. Document success metrics
7. Receive fundraising proceeds
