Scholarship Programs

Purpose: To provide scholarships to students in the Dan River Region pursuing post-secondary education.

Eligibility

• High school seniors graduating from local high schools
• College students
• Graduate students
• Residents of the Dan River Region (Danville, VA and the counties of Pittsylvania and Halifax, VA; and Caswell County, NC)

Geographic Scope

Serving Danville, VA and the counties of Pittsylvania and Halifax, VA; and Caswell County, NC.

Funding

Multiple scholarship funds are available, funded by donors who have established individual scholarship funds within the Foundation.

Timeline

• January 1: Application Period Opens
• March 1: Application Deadline
• Late May: Scholarship Recipients Notified
• June: Scholarship Reception Held

Notification & Awards

Recipients of post-secondary scholarships for the following academic year are notified in late May, with a scholarship reception held in June.
