San Fernando Valley Audubon Society has a grants and scholarships program to support community scholars as well as local conservation research and projects. The Scholarships program is designed to promote the interest and career aspirations of young conservationist college students. Scholarships The Audubon Society State programs, nature centers, 463 chapters and national/international partners have an unparalleled wingspan that reaches millions of people. The mission is to inform, inspire, and unite diverse communities in conservation action. Since 1905, Audubon’s vision has been a world in which people and wildlife thrive. To promote the interest and career aspirations of young conservationists, San Fernando Valley Audubon Society will sponsor 3 college students, 18-24 years of age, to apply for a scholarship to support their educational costs. Funding A total of 3 scholarships, at $500 each to be applied towards tuition, lab fees, or other supplies necessary for the Fall Semester.

Eligibility

Membership in SFVAS would be a strong positive factor, but is not absolutely necessary.Applicants must submit evidence of current work (within last 12 months) on a project to promote conservation, ornithology, or climate change prevention and education.The applicant must reside within the catchment area of SFVAS within the last 12 months.
