San Fernando Valley Audubon Society Scholarship Grant

The San Fernando Valley Audubon Society Scholarship aims to support young conservationists aged 18-24 pursuing higher education. The program offers three scholarships of $500 each for tuition, lab fees, or necessary supplies for the Fall Semester. While membership in SFVAS is a plus, it is not mandatory. Applicants must demonstrate recent conservation efforts and provide proof of residency within the catchment area. This initiative fosters environmental stewardship and empowers the next generation of conservation leaders.

NOTE: Membership in SFVAS would be a strong positive factor, but is not absolutely necessary.
San Fernando Valley Audubon Society has a grants and scholarships program to support community scholars as well as local conservation research and projects. The Scholarships program is designed to promote the interest and career aspirations of young conservationist college students.

The Audubon Society State programs, nature centers, 463 chapters and national/international partners have an unparalleled wingspan that reaches millions of people.
To promote the interest and career aspirations of young conservationists, San Fernando Valley Audubon Society will sponsor 3 college students, 18-24 years of age, to apply for a scholarship to support their educational costs.
Funding
A total of 3 scholarships, at $500 each to be applied towards tuition, lab fees, or other supplies necessary for the Fall Semester.

Eligibility

Applicants for the college scholarship must be between 18-24 years of age and enrolled in a recognized academic institution relevant to the mission of Audubon, with proof supplied in the application. Membership in SFVAS would be a strong positive factor, but is not absolutely necessary.Applicants must submit evidence of current work (within last 12 months) on a project to promote conservation, ornithology, or climate change prevention and education.The applicant must reside within the catchment area of SFVAS within the last 12 months. Please check the SFVAS website for catchment listing. Proof of residence must be submitted (e.g., water/power bill).
