Overview

Purpose The Society of Thoracic Surgeons and its charitable arm, The Thoracic Surgery Foundation, have launched the TSF Saha Scholarship. The purpose of the award is to provide the opportunity for junior cardiothoracic surgeons from India and cardiothoracic surgery residents from India and from North America (USA, Canada, and Mexico) to attend, learn, and network at the STS Annual Meeting. This award is made possible by the generosity of Sibu P. Saha, MD, MBA. Award Amount The TSF Saha Scholarship award covers the cost of registration for the STS Annual Meeting, including the President’s Reception, and lodging at a STS Annual Meeting Partner hotel for three nights. International award recipients will receive a travel stipend of $2,000, and North American recipients will receive a travel stipend of $800 to defray the cost of meals, ground transportation, and airfare. The TSF Saha Scholarship is valued at up to $3,500.

Ineligibility

Previous Saha Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply for an additional Saha Scholarship.
