NOTE: Applications must be completed and received (by email or USPS) to SHCCIHCWV by the Monday prior to the Board of Directors quarterly meetings that occur in March, June, September and December. Those meetings are held the first Wednesday of those months, unless otherwise stated of a change on this website. Sacred Heart Children's Center of Harrison County West Virginia Serving the needs of Harrison County children has always been the purpose of Sacred Heart Children's Center, Inc. Beginning as a Catholic orphanage in the early twentieth century, it evolved into a public day care center in the 1970s. By early 1980s, it became a volunteer-directed, private foundation accepting funds and granting requests to benefit the children of Harrison County.
