Program expanded U.P.-wide March 1, 2026 (previously eastern U.P. only)

Direct cash assistance program providing financial support to pregnant individuals and families with newborns to address maternal health and infant welfare.

Award Amount:

• $1,500 provided during pregnancy
• $500 per month for 6 months after birth (total $3,000 postpartum)
• Total potential: Up to $4,500 per family

Eligibility:

• Expecting individuals (must be at least 16 weeks pregnant)
• Families with baby born March 1, 2026 or later
• Must reside in eligible U.P. counties

Purpose: Brings direct resources at critical time, strengthening long-term outcomes for mothers and babies in the U.P.

How to Apply

Enrollment:

1. Verify Eligibility: Confirm pregnancy status (minimum 16 weeks) or birth date (March 1, 2026 or later) and U.P. county residence

3. Documentation: Provide proof of pregnancy or birth as required
4. Receive Funds: Direct cash assistance provided in installments

Timeline for Receipt:

• First payment of $1,500 during pregnancy
