Summary

The RTO Small Grants program, previously known as Sponsorships, provides funding up to $5,000 for materials and supplies supporting travel options. Applications are accepted year-round, with micro-grants available for schools. Currently, all funds for FY 2025 have been allocated, but new applications will reopen on June 2, 2025, for projects starting after July 1, 2025. Note that the 2023-26 grant cycle applications are closed.

Overview

NOTE: Applications for the 2023-26 grant cycle are closed. RTO anticipates announcing awards for the 2025 General Grant solicitation in June. The Small Grants application will reopen when funds are available for FY 2026. Small Grants Track Small grants, makes funding available on an ongoing basis and supports materials and supplies of up to $5,000 for activities that directly support the use of travel options. This application is available year-round. The track includes Safe Routes to Schools micro-grants; 25 micro-grants of $500 each are available to individual schools or nonprofit PTOs each school year. All Small Grants funds have been awarded for fiscal year 2025, and new applications will be accepted beginning June 2, 2025 to fund projects beginning after July 1, 2025.
