Water Science Bursaries
This bursary is to support Royal Society of Chemistry members undertaking water science research at an early stage of their career. In particular, applications are encouraged from members aiming to achieve Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) or Registered Scientist (RSci) status.
The Water Science Bursary is awarded to researchers engaged in projects that involve application of chemical sciences in the management of the water cycle, and the impact these activities have on the environment. Awards of up to £2,000 per year are available in relation to the following activities:
* Continuing professional development research analysis activities for RSciTech or RSci awards
* MSc thesis projects
* Short sabbatical periods to complete relevant research
* Assistance in Water Science research projects
Please note that activities are not restricted to the examples above, so please feel able to submit an application for an alternative activity for consideration. Please note though, that any activity needs to contain a high proportion of water related chemical science which contributes to water sustainability (environment, economic, social) and have an identifiable practical application.
