Roughrider Electric/WDDH $500 Mechanic Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Number of Awards: One (1) scholarship
Sponsor: West Dakota Diesel and Hydraulics (WDDH) (part-owned by Roughrider Electric)
Sponsor Background: WDDH services utility vehicles, farm trucks and machinery, and equipment needing hydraulic repairs or N.D. Department of Transportation certification.
- High school senior
- Enrolled in or planning to enroll in a certified vocational or technical school
- Pursuing a career as a mechanic
- Note: Parents do NOT have to be members of Roughrider Electric (unlike other scholarships)
Eligibility Requirements
- SAT/ACT scores
- Grade-point average
- Work experience
- Participation in school and community activities
- Written statement explaining educational and career goals
- Written recommendation from a third party
Selection Criteria
Awards based on academic excellence, including:- Roughrider Electric selection committee screens all applications
- Committee decision is final
