The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP; Division 2 of the American Psychological Association) announces its awards program for outstanding teachers of psychology. Consistent with our Mission Statement and the Statement on Addressing Systemic Racism and Inequity in STP, we encourage applications from colleagues who are from underrepresented groups and have diverse backgrounds and experiences. Teaching awards of $1500 and a plaque are bestowed for outstanding performance in six categories, including the Robert S. Daniel Teaching Excellence Award (4-year colleges or universities). The Robert S. Daniel Teaching Excellence Award recognizes teaching excellence at 4-year colleges or universities, and is based on the following five criteria: (1) effective teaching; (2) mentoring student professional development; (3) advancing teaching and learning through scholarship; (4) advancing teaching and learning through service; and (5) training high school, community college, or college/university teachers. Applicants will not be expected to have achieved recognition in all five criteria. More information on supportive evidence for these five criteria can be found here.Eligibility
