Robert H. Whittaker Awards: The Whittaker Distinguished Ecologist Award Grant

It is awarded every odd year, providing a $1,400 travel award and a plaque. The Ecological Society of America encourages nominations from all members, particularly from underrepresented groups, highlighting inclusivity in ecological achievements.

The Awards Committee of the Ecological Society of America solicits and encourages nominations from members of ESA for each of the award listed below. ESA especially encourages nominations of candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups, including women and minorities.
