Robert Graves Art Scholarship Grant

The Robert Graves Art Scholarship honors a dedicated educator and artist, Robert Graves, who passionately supported young artists. Open to students from Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties pursuing higher education in visual arts, this scholarship encourages creativity and artistic growth. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit original artwork. This initiative not only fosters individual talent but also contributes to the cultural enrichment of the community.

This scholarship is given in the name of Robert Graves, a college professor at Wenatchee Valley College, an extraordinary artist, and a community arts advocate.
Robert was especially passionate about ensuring that young people had every opportunity to pursue their dreams as creative people. Throughout his life Robert would help art students in various ways - through mentoring, providing art supplies, or connecting them with experiences to highlight their work. Receiving this scholarship means that the student is part of his legacy. Hard work and dedication to visual arts is a vital part of every healthy community.

Eligibility

Open to any student who either currently lives or has graduated from a high school in: Chelan countyDouglas countyOkanogan countyAttending any accredited college, university or art school in the United StatesEnrolled or planning to enroll in a minimum of one collegiate visual art course, including: drawing paintingsculptureceramics graphic designphotographydigital artMinimum GPA 3.0.Electronic submission of 3 examples of applicant's original artwork is required.
