NOTE: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed quarterly. Applications must be submitted at least four months before the residency start date. Upcoming reviews will take place in February, May, August, and November 2026, with responses given shortly afterwards. Applications will be considered for residencies taking place in 2026 and 2027. Overview Residencies can be an important component of artistic process, offering opportunities to create new work, learn new skills, meet peers, and forge professional connections. Recognizing this, Artis provides support for artists and curators from Israel who have been accepted at major international residency programs. Residency grants are provided directly to the successful applicant in support of travel, program fees, production costs, or other needs associated with the residency. Artis prioritizes support for residencies in new regions and contexts, helping to expand the range of experiences and perspectives engaged through our support. Guidelines and Eligibility Requirements Residency grants are awarded to visual artists and curators from Israel who have been accepted to an artist residency program outside of Israel. The grants, up to $5,000, may be used to cover any costs associated with a residency, including but not limited to fees, travel, living expenses, and supplies.
