Community Support
Greater Nevada Credit Union’s passion to help more people Live Greater goes beyond the financial services and accounts that we offer. We also take pride in supporting our local communities and organizations throughout the year.
Greater Nevada Credit Union believes in community empowerment for positive change. That’s why we created the Live Greater Grant program to support local nonprofits making a difference in northern Nevada and improving our communities.
Community Pillars
When evaluating grant applications, we consider these community pillars to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing community needs, fostering sustainability, and promoting social well-being. We will assess how the proposed projects align with these pillars and our passion for helping more people Live Greater.
Food and Housing Security - We fund initiatives for stable housing and food access, including homelessness solutions, affordable housing, community gardens, and food aid for vulnerable communities.
Financial Well-Being and Inclusion - This pillar fosters economic stability, knowledge, and social inclusion through financial literacy, services, and empowerment initiatives.
Community Health and Wellness - We prioritize community well-being. Our grants may support healthcare access, mental health, prevention, wellness education, and initiatives addressing community-specific health challenges.
Sustainable Communities - This pillar promotes responsible resource management, including waste reduction, conservation, community clean-ups, and environmental education.
