Repurposing Research for Chicago - Track 4 – Veterans/Military Grant

Cures Within Reach invites proposals for Track 4 of the Repurposing Research for Chicago initiative, focusing on clinical trials that address the unmet medical needs of US veterans and active military personnel. Grants of up to $100,000 are available for trials that demonstrate innovation in mental health, PTSD, and brain injuries. Proposals are encouraged to incorporate telehealth solutions while targeting improved patient outcomes in the Chicagoland area.

While Cures Within Reach is disease-agnostic and geography-agnostic, some of our funding partners have strategic interests in specific geographic regions. Therefore, in addition to our disease-specific repurposing communities, we work to increase the repurposing research focused on improving the quality and length of life within the Chicagoland region through the speed and cost-effectiveness of medical repurposing.
Our events and research within the Chicagoland Repurposing Community all focus on connecting our many stakeholder groups together in our shared goal: driving more treatments to more patients more quickly through repurposing.
Clinical repurposing trials to address unmet medical needs of US veterans and/or active US military, including but not limited to mental health, PTSD and brain injuries.
While the funded institutions must be in Chicagoland, patients and collaborators can be both within and outside the Chicago area. Clinical trials utilizing telehealth or other remote strategies are encouraged to apply.
Funding
Accepting budgets of up to $100,000 for clinical repurposing trials from Chicago area research institutions in one or more of the tracks, which includes the required institutional match.
