Clinical Trials to Validate AI-Driven Drug Repurposing RFP Grant

The Clinical Trials to Validate AI-Driven Drug Repurposing RFP invites submissions for Phase I and IIA trials focusing on AI-driven repurposing of already approved therapies for unsolved diseases. With a budget of up to $100,000, including a 10% institutional match, trials must incorporate AI-generated data as preclinical support. Preference is given to rare diseases, off-patent drugs, and openly accessible AI models, fostering innovative approaches in clinical research.

Now accepting submissions of investigator-initiated, proof of concept, Phase I or Phase IIA clinical trials to validate artificial intelligence (AI)-driven repurposing opportunities in any unsolved disease, where the therapies supported by AI models are already approved. Eligible clinical repurposing trials must include AI-generated data as part of the preclinical support for the trial. Budget: up to $100,000, including a 10% institutional match, with additional funds available for community engagement.
Any unsolved disease is eligible, although there is a preference for rare diseases.Both on- and off-patent drugs and biologics are eligible, although there is a preference for off-patent.Data from any AI model is eligible, although there is a preference for openly accessible models and for models developed by nonprofits/government.The document “Potential AI Model Resources for CWR” is solely available to provide options to prospective clinical researchers and has been developed as just one resource of potential AI models that could be used as part of an RFP submission. The data in “Potential AI Model Resources for CWR” is provided by AI models, not CWR. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of eligible AI models, and models not included in this list may be eligible for AI validation submissions.

Eligibility

Open to investigator-initiated, Phase I/IIA clinical trials in any disease area.Led by a PI from a nonprofit academic / research institution based anywhere in the world.Using already approved drugs, biologics and eligible cellular/gene therapies.Submission must include AI model data as part of required preclinical support.
