Overview

REI Cooperative Action Fund Grant We are interested to learn about US-based organizations that serve U.S. communities and align with our mission. We receive a very large number of recommendations, and are unable to provide a response or funding for all recommendations submitted. Initiatives Connecting People Outside: Connecting historically excluded communities to the outdoors - cultivating joy, healing, belonging, connection and well-being. Creating Space Outside: Ensuring people have equitable access to quality, close to home culturally-relevant outdoor spaces. Centering Health Outside: Strengthening and amplifying research that demonstrates nature is critical for individual and community health and wellbeing.

Eligibility

REI Cooperative Action Fund grantee partners have a current 501(c)(3) public charity status or have a fiscal sponsor that has a current 501(c)(3) public charity status. The REI Cooperative Action Fund gives grants to organizations that have a track record of connecting historically excluded communities to the outdoors. REI Cooperative Action Fund grantee partners must be aligned with one of the three grantmaking initiatives.

Ineligibility

REI Cooperative Action Fund does not support individuals, political or religious organizations, preschool -12th-grade schools, or endowment campaigns.
