Environmental Protection Division The Environmental Protection Division (EPD) of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is a state agency charged with protecting Georgia's air, land, and water resources through the authority of state and federal environmental statutes. These laws regulate public and private facilities in the areas of air quality, water quality, hazardous waste, water supply, solid waste, surface mining, underground storage tanks, and others. SFY2026 Regional Water Plan Seed Grants From State Fiscal Year 2026 funds appropriated by the Georgia General Assembly for Regional Water Planning, EPD announces the SFY2026 Regional Water Plan Seed Grant program. The Regional Water Plan Seed Grants are being provided to support and incentivize local governments and other water users as they undertake their Regional Water Plan implementation responsibilities. Funding Grant awards are limited to $75,000 and the project period is limited to thirty (30) months in duration.
