RCF Competitive Grant Cycle

The Richland County Foundation offers the RCF Competitive Grant Cycle to partner with nonprofit organizations addressing community needs. Ideal projects include pilot programs, collaborative efforts, and those promoting sustainability and volunteer involvement. Eligible entities are 501c3 organizations, government bodies, and schools. The Foundation typically does not fund sectarian activities, capital improvements on non-owned properties, or individual scholarships. This grant aims to leverage additional financial support and enhance community well-being.

Note: The application procedure should begin by contacting Foundation Senior Community Investment Officer to schedule an initial meeting. We prefer to discuss an organization's needs prior to a grant application submission.

Eligibility

The Foundation encourages 501(c)(3) organizations to partner with the Foundation to provide charitable programs to Richland County residents.

Ineligibility

Richland County Foundation typically does not provide funding for the following:Sectarian activities of religious organizationsOperating expenses for annual drives or to eliminate debtMedical, scientific, or academic researchIndividuals other than for college scholarshipsTravel to or in support of conferences, or travel for groups such as bands, sports teams and classesCapital improvements to building and property not owned by the organization or covered by a long-term leaseComputer systemsProjects that taxpayers support or expected to supportPolitical issues
