Rapid Response Fund

Overview: Gulf Coast Community Foundation's Rapid Response Fund was launched to support the community and partners before and during natural disasters in the service area.

Purpose: To provide life-sustaining support to those most impacted by disasters.

Geographic Scope: Gulf Coast Community Foundation service area (Sarasota County, Charlotte County, DeSoto County, and surrounding areas in Florida)

Focus Areas:

  • Disaster response and recovery

  • Pre-disaster and during-disaster support

  • Staff gathers boots-on-the-ground intelligence following disasters

  • Funds are deployed to areas of greatest need as quickly as possible
