NOTE: In order to apply for the scholarship, you must first submit the "General Scholarship Application". Once submitted, you will be matched to scholarships you are eligible for that require additional information. About Us Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization classified as a publicly supported 501(c) (3) charity under the Internal Revenue Code. We are governed by a community-based, volunteer board of directors and administered by professional staff. We serve the counties of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates in the Southern Tier of New York State. Scholarships for High School Students and Adult Learners If you are a high school senior or adult who lives in Upstate New York or Northern Pennsylvania you may be eligible for a scholarship from the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes. Individuals, families and companies have established funds at the foundation for educational scholarships so that deserving neighbors can attend college or acquire job skills. At the Community Foundation, we believe that cost should not be a barrier to continued education. We find that philanthropic funds are most beneficial when used to broaden opportunity and access to post-secondary education and are here to help you navigate the process. Community Foundation Scholarships for STEUBEN COUNTY HIGH School Students Rainbow Future Award DESCRIPTION: Awarded to a student who identifies as part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. The selection committee will consider the individual's contributions to the LGBTQIA2S+ community and those with a desire to advance equity for transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, agender, and other diverse gender identities.
