RADM Michael Fellowship

Overview: The RADM Michael Fellowship provides funding for continuing education of junior officers serving in the USPHS Commissioned Corps. This funding opportunity is currently limited to the Certificate in Global Health program (12 credits) offered by the University of Maryland School of Public Health. All courses are held virtually with no on-campus attendance required.

Named After: Rear Admiral Jerrold M. Michael, an engineer officer and lifelong advocate for improved public health education. RADM Michael served 20 years in the USPHS Commissioned Corps, retiring as an Assistant Surgeon General, and later served as Dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Hawaii (1972-1992).

Geographic Scope: Virtual program (no geographic restrictions)
