Background Qurate Retail Group’s Global Impact team seeks to embed inclusion, sustainability, and social responsibility into all aspects of our business. Our strategy is to inspire a more sustainable way to retail by sparking actions that accelerate business growth and positively impact team members, customers, communities, business partners, and the planet. Our Strategic Focus Areas Despite a near-even worldwide gender distribution, disparities between men and women in wealth, representation, and health care access persist. Qurate Retail Group’s Together for Good initiative seeks to bridge these gaps by empowering women globally. In any given year, we seek to focus 60% of our direct and in-kind contributions to causes that support key health issues facing women today, as well as remove barriers to improving their financial security. Health ( Physical, Mental and Social Well-being) Objective Improve health outcomes by providing women with the knowledge, resources and support they need to make informed decisions concerning their health & well-being. Focus Areas Promoting equitable access to quality healthcare and preventative services for early cancer detection and heart diseaseIncreasing menopause awareness and support to improve perceptions and highlight the importance of self-careAddressing social and economic determinants of health that disproportionately affect women (e.g. gender-based violence) Wealth ( Economic opportunities, Independence and Prosperity) Objective Break the cycle of economic inequality by removing barriers to help unlock the earning potential of women. Focus Areas Supporting women's entrepreneurship and small business, particularly from underserved communitiesInvesting in career/leadership development & training programs that prepare and support women for meaningful jobs and careers (including in emerging industries
