APSF Mission Statement The APSF’s mission is to improve the safety of patients during anesthesia care by: Identifying safety initiatives and creating recommendations to implement directly and with partner organizationsBeing a leading voice for anesthesia patient safety worldwideSupporting and advancing anesthesia patient safety culture, knowledge, and learning APSF Vision Statement That no one shall be harmed by anesthesia care. APSF Trainee Quality Improvement (TQI) Recognition Program The APSF Committee on Education and Training, under the direction of APSF leadership, proudly announces the relaunched APSF Trainee Quality Improvement (TQI) Program. The program hosts tracts for Physician Anesthesiology residents, Nurse Anesthesia students residents and Anesthesiologist Assistant students. APSF will sponsor (airfare, hotel) each of the winners to attend the Stoelting Conference in Somerville, Massachusetts to present their work. Sponsorship will be limited to the principle author or his/her designee. The winning submissions will also be uploaded to the APSF website following the Stoelting Conference.

Eligibility

Participant eligibility will include all current trainees and those who graduated in the immediately prior academic year.APSF invites all US and Canadian anesthesia professionals in training to demonstrate their program’s work in patient safety and QI initiatives.Applicants may independently determine the best media to submit their project summary. Acceptable formats include a document or audio/video recording.All trainees are encouraged to submit their best work and strongly support the APSF Vision – That no one shall be harmed by anesthesia care.
