Jerome Foundation The Jerome Foundation, founded in 1964 by artist and philanthropist Jerome Hill (1905-1972), honors his legacy through multi-year grants to support the creation, development, and presentation of new works by early career artists. The Jerome Foundation supports early-career artists and culture bearers who take creative risks, pursue innovative artistic approaches, and demonstrate a clear creative purpose and vision. By prioritizing artists at this pivotal stage, we seek to nurture their creative growth and recognize the dynamic, multi-dimensional impact they have in fostering thriving, evolving communities. The Foundation offers grant programs across various creative fields in Minnesota and the five boroughs of New York City, providing direct support to early-career artists and culture bearers, as well as to arts organizations and ecosystem initiatives aligned with Jerome's practices and values that offer ongoing programs, services, or opportunities for multiple early-career artists in our funding areas Queens Museum Founded in 1972, theQueen Museum (QM) is located in the nation’s most culturally diverse county, on the grounds of the 1939-40 and 1964-65 and New York World’s Fairs, and in a building that formerly housed the United Nations from 1946 to 1950. QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists The Queens Museum (QM) is pleased to launch its seventh QM-Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists in New York City. Two visual artists will receive $20,000 each, professional development consultations, and close mentorship from QM staff members working toward an artist’s project. The fellowships will culminate in solo project exhibitions at the Queens Museum in 2027. The duration of each fellowship is one year, culminating with the opening of the fellow’s exhibition.Eligibility
