Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Scholarship Program
Geographic Scope: Virginia
Purpose: Part of the "Beyond Blue" initiative launched in 2017 to celebrate the Foundation's 25th anniversary. This program supports the training and development of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners to address the critical shortage of behavioral health professionals in Virginia.
Background: This is one of three prongs of the Beyond Blue behavioral health initiative, alongside "Defeating the Deadly Double" (a population health initiative to improve outcomes for patients with Diabetes and Depression) and the promotion of trauma-informed care.
