Community Foundation of South Lake County The Community Foundation of South Lake County (CFSLC) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) community foundation established in 1995, dedicated to serving South Lake County by connecting resources to intentional philanthropic giving. With a mission to “serve our community through the connecting of resources and intentional philanthropic giving,” the foundation guides donors in making informed decisions and supports local nonprofits in driving sustainable impact. CFSLC emphasizes strategies that provide educational opportunities, bolster grant funding, and strengthen community infrastructure. By working proactively alongside residents, it seeks to remove barriers that prevent individuals from realizing their full potential and ensures its donor-invested funds continue to benefit the local community now and into the future. Project Scholars (Pig on the Pond) Scholarship The Pig on the Pond, Inc. scholarship awards are made possible by revenue generated at the annual Pig on the Pond event. We are currently able to offer scholarships valued at up to $10,000 ($2,500 for up to 4 years) to students who reside in South Lake County regardless of where they attend high school. Applications will be reviesed by the Pig on the Pond, Inc. Scholarship Committee, with final approval by the Community Foundation of South Lake Board of Directors. This scholarship may be used at any accredited vocational-technical school, community college, 4-year college or university.Eligibility
