Presidential Honorary Membership Award

Purpose: Recognize and honor outstanding students in the field of dialect and language studies.

Award Details:

  • Number of Awards: Three memberships awarded each year by the ADS President

  • Eligibility: Any student, graduate or undergraduate

  • Benefits:

  • - Four years of complimentary ADS membership
    - Recognition at the ADS annual breakfast
    - Free attendance at annual breakfast as honored guest of ADS
  • Nomination: Any ADS member may nominate a candidate
  • Mission Alignment: Awards recognize students who exemplify the society's mission to encourage study of all languages and dialects in North America and surrounding regions.

    2. Eligibility: Any student (graduate or undergraduate)
    3. Submission Format: Explanatory letter of recommendation
    4. Required Materials:
    - Letter of recommendation explaining why candidate deserves the honor
    - Relevant attachments may be included
