We are the lead state agency charged with enhancing and promoting sustainable community and economic vitality in Washington. We administer a diverse portfolio of more than 100 programs and several state boards and commissions, all focused on helping communities achieve positive growth. Technical Assistance & Preconstruction Funding Commerce is releasing a new funding opportunity for new multifamily housing developers who are seeking funds to secure technical assistance for a future Housing Trust Fund (HTF) application, or funds to cover non-capital costs for a project preparing to apply for HTF funds in an upcoming HTF funding round. Approximately $2.9 million is now being made available through this Notice of Funding Availabilities (NOFA). We are providing two options for funding use: Option A: Technical Assistance Funding. Up to $50,000 per project for nonprofit organization with limited previous rental housing development experience. Option B: Preconstruction Funding. Up to $200,000 per project to support non-capital design and planning work for multifamily rental projects.
