Postgraduate Quaternary Conference Fund Grant

The Postgraduate Quaternary Conference Fund Grant supports postgraduate students' attendance at conferences and field meetings by covering registration, travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs. This initiative particularly encourages applications from first-year students and is open to any registered postgraduate member of the Quaternary Research Association (QRA). Priority is given to those with limited funding options and to QRA-sponsored events.

This fund supports postgraduate attendance at conferences and field meetings with grants to support registration, travel, accommodation, subsistence and caring costs of conference participation. Applications are particularly encouraged from students in their first year of study.
Award Amount
The maximum award is £900 and additional caring costs up to £300 maximum. Multiple grants may be made in each awards round.

Eligibility

Applications are particularly encouraged from students in their first year of study. Any registered postgraduate who is a current member of the QRA is eligible to apply, regardless of duration of membership or whether other QRA awards are currently held.

Ineligibility

Please note that postgraduates are not permitted to apply for funds to attend the QRA Postgraduate Symposium, since this meeting already receives financial support from the QRA.
