About the Program

The Post-Graduate Behavioral Health Fellowship at Unity Health Care offers a unique opportunity to extend clinical social work experience with hands-on training supporting behavioral health needs of:

  • Diverse underserved populations
  • The fellowship is housed within the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the Nation's Capital and is generously supported by a grant from the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation.

    Eligibility Requirements

    #### Required Qualifications

    • Master of Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
    • Licensed Graduate Social Work (LGSW) licensing requirements for the District of Columbia met
    • Criminal background checks completed by start of training program
    • Minimum supervised direct service experience: Two years or more, typically received during field placements/clinical internships (work experience considered)
    • Preferred: At least one year of clinical experience with mental health focus

    #### Preferred Qualifications

    • Training in multiple modalities of psychotherapy interventions
    • Previous direct clinical experience with Integrated Behavioral Health
    • Strong desire to provide clinical behavioral health services
    • Interest in providing services to underserved communities with diverse populations
    • Demonstration of commitment to Unity Health Care's mission
