About the Program
Unity Health Care has partnered with the Wright Center and A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (SOMA) to provide accredited, comprehensive, community-focused family medicine residencies. The program was established in 2013 and operates as the largest Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education consortium in the country.

Eligibility Requirements
#### For Osteopathic Applicants
- Completion of the first two (2) years of medical education in a College of Osteopathic Medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA)
#### For Allopathic Applicants
- 40 hours of didactic education in osteopathic principles and hands-on training in diagnosis and osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) for somatic dysfunction
- 160 hours of clinical training with a board-certified NMM/OMM or CSPOMM preceptor in an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)-focused practice
- Attestation of osteopathic clinical training required
- Completion of the Core Osteopathic Recognition Readiness Examination (CORRE) and submission of examination score report
- At least one Letter of Recommendation from a doctor of osteopathy (DO) who is board certified in any specialty and can describe ability to integrate OPP/OMM into patient care

Unity Health Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1985 as the Health Care for the Homeless Project. It now comprises 9 community health centers, 11 medical sites in homeless shelters, 2 school-based health centers, medical walking outreach, and the DC Department of Corrections medical program. The organization serves diverse, multicultural, multilingual patient populations with over 980 healthcare professionals.
