PLTW Launch The commitment is part of a long-term social investment program in the Gulf of Mexico region. Since 2009, Chevron has committed over $17 million to PLTW nationally, providing transformative educational experiences for K-12 students and teachers in California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia. As a result, almost 250,000 students and over 8,100 teachers have had access to PLTW programs and teacher professional development. Example expansion activities include but are not limited to adding an additional PLTW Launch module not previously offered, and/or offering existing PLTW Launch modules to more students, and/or training additional teachers in PLTW Launch Classroom Teacher Training or PLTW Launch Lead Teacher Training for the next academic year.
