PLTW Gateway The commitment is part of a long-term social investment program in the Gulf of Mexico region. Since 2009, Chevron has committed over $17 million to PLTW nationally, providing transformative educational experiences for K-12 students and teachers in California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia. As a result, almost 250,000 students and over 8,100 teachers have had access to PLTW programs and teacher professional development. In 2013, Chevron became PLTW's first National Partner a designation signaling the highest level of support and commitment. PLTW Program Status Program Expansion

Program Requirements:Grantee must use their grant funds to expand their existing PLTW Gateway program.Example expansion activities include but are not limited to adding an additional PLTW Gateway unit not previously offered, and/or adding additional class periods of an existing PLTW Gateway unit previously offered, and/or training additional teachers in a PLTW Gateway unit for the next academic year.Grantee must complete one year of grant reporting.School Type: Public, CharterGeographic Area:Schools that are part of the following Louisiana districts are eligible for this grant opportunity: Lafayette Parish Public SchoolsLaFourche Parish Public SchoolsPlaquemines Parish Public SchoolsSt. Tammany Parish Public SchoolsSt. Charles Parish Public SchoolsAllowable Expenses:PLTW Participation Fee; Required computers and/or tablets; Program required equipment and supplies; Equipment and supplies listed as Optional; PLTW Core Training and the following related expenses incurred: travel, room, and board
