PLTW Computer Science - Program Expansion (L3Harris Technologies) Because science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) are so essential in the aerospace and defense industry, L3Harris Technologies has partnered with PLTW with the goal of inspiring and empowering PreK-12 students. Across global locations and communities around the world where our employees live and work, we invest and partner to support STEM initiatives that align with our business strategy and reflect our values. Through this partnership, L3Harris Technologies is supporting PLTW grants to schools interested in starting and expanding PLTW programs beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. School Type: PublicCharter Program Requirements Grant Award and Distribution Schedule:Grantee must use their grant funds to expand their existing PLTW Computer Science program. Example expansion activities include but are not limited to adding an additional PLTW Computer Science course not previously offered, and/or adding additional class periods of an existing PLTW Computer Science courses previously offered, and/or training additional teachers in PLTW Computer Science courses for the 2026-2027 academic year. Grantee must complete one year of grant reporting.

Grantee must complete one year of grant reporting. Eligible schools must be located within the following counties: Alabama: Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan Arkansas: Calhoun, Dallas, Nevada, Ouachita, Union California: San Diego Colorado: El Paso, Park, Teller District of Columbia Florida: Brevard Indiana: Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio Kentucky: Boone, Campbell, Kenton Maryland: Anne Arundel, Charles, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's Ohio: Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Warren Texas: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Fannin, Hopkins, Hunt, Johnson, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Wise Utah: Davis, Morgan, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, Utah Virginia: Alexandria City, Amherst, Appomattox, Arlington, Bedford, Buena Vista City, Campbell, Fairfax, Fairfax City, Falls Church City, Fauquier, Loudoun, Lynchburg City, Manassas City, Manassas Park City, Pittsylvania, Prince William, RockbridgeConsideration will be given to public schools and charter schools located near the above communities that serve diverse and/or economically challenged schools. Allowable Expenses PLTW Participation Fee; Required computers and/or tablets; Program required equipment and supplies; Equipment and supplies listed as Optional; PLTW Core Training and the following related expenses incurred: travel, room, and boardGrant Reporting Requirements Grantees receiving a PLTW grant are required to submit an Annual Grant Report and Annual Grant Financial Report by April 15 for each year of the grant period. Grantees must also assist PLTW in collecting annual teacher and student surveys. Surveys will be administered by PLTW and are intended to inform PLTW's continual improvement efforts and to share outcomes with funding supporters of the grant program

Unallowable Expenses Benefits; Meals; Infrastructure; Renovations; Indirect Costs; Training Cancellation Fees; Training Substitution Fees; Trainings where there was a no-show; Trainings where a credential was not earned; Salaries; Stipends for use during PLTW Core Training; Stipends unrelated to PLTW Core Training; Any other expenses not specified as allowable
