Summary
The PLTW Biomedical Science initiative, backed by the Arthur Blanchard Charitable Trust, aims to broaden access to innovative STEM programs for K-12 students in Massachusetts. This program encourages schools to implement or expand their Biomedical Science offerings, enabling students to develop essential skills for future careers. By providing financial support for necessary resources, the initiative fosters a passion for STEM education and enhances enrollment in these critical fields.Overview
PLTW Biomedical Science As the global economy evolves, so do the skills that will be needed by tomorrow's leaders. To prepare communities for these demands, Arconic Foundation has partnered with PLTW to support grants to schools interested in adding new or expanding existing PLTW Biomedical Science programs. With this support from Arconic Foundation, PLTW is helping educators ignite students' passion for the STEM disciplines and increase enrollment in STEM studies. Grants are available to support the implementation or expansion of PLTW programs at under-resourced schools. These grants will assist in offsetting costs associated with starting or expanding PLTW Biomedical Science programs. Schools that already offer the program are eligible for consideration if their request seeks to add more PLTW Biomedical Science courses, sections, and/or train additional PLTW Biomedical Science teachers.
